Church and Easter!!!!!!!

First of all....
how was your easter?
hope it was a great one...
mine was great...
my church (eventhough it doesn't feel like home unlike my previous church in Indonesia) had an event called The Power of The Cross...like the title, the event was about the power of the cross...
in this easter...
here is my revolution for this easter....i made a promise to myself to be a better person...
a person who can satisfy God...
a person who won't let him down...
i hope i can fulfill my own promise...
eventhough i know its not easy...
but i have a great God...
God who will help me in everything i do...
nothing is impossible for Him....

Noh MinWoo failed to get Kim HyunJoong to play bass guitar for his self-produced movie OST.

Noh MinWoo (23), a singer cum talent who acts in MBC sitcom ‘TaeHee HyeGyo JiHyun’, revealed his affinity with same-aged friend SS501 member Kim HyunJoong.

Noh MinWoo told Nocutnews in an interview recently, “We became close since mid of last year. However, HyunJoong is so busy these days that I am not able to see much of him.”

Noh MinWoo “I met Kim HyunJoong before he started acting in drama ’Boys Over Flowers’. At that time, I told HyunJoong ‘I think you have to change the way you talk if you act’, but HyunJoong replied to me ‘I think you have to do that too’. It is great to see HyunJoong get such a good result for his first time acting.”

Kim HyunJoong is well known for speaking out in a loose manner. Noh MinWoo’s way of talking is similar to Kim HyunJoong’s.

Both of them also understand each other music-wise. Male group SS501 became the new host for SBS radio Power FM (107.7Mhz) program ‘Music High’ (broadcast 2am~3am).

SS501 will meet with the listeners as the new DJ of ‘Music High’ taking over from Lee ByungHee announcer, from 13-Apr onwards through the SBS radio Spring reorganization.

One representative from SBS radio department said “This Spring reorganization is to make ‘Power FM’ towards more diverse direction. We have done our best to select DJs who can get friendly with the listeners.”

What did the 150 lucky fans have to do? Well, the first 150 early-bird customers of the day at Lotte Department Store were selected to participate in the signing event. According to an official of the department store, around 4,000 fans were found waiting at dawn at the entrance. Only the first 150 were allowed into the auditorium (Lotte Cinema) where Lee Min Ho arrived to personally greet them, autograph a Gu Jun-pyo photo and give each fan a rose.

Although Gu Jun-pyo wore expensive designer suits in the drama, the real Lee Min Ho is down to earth and dresses mostly in jeans, t-shirt and a jacket. At the fan meet, he wore a white printed t-shirt, red skinny jeans tucked into black laced up boots and a jacket.

The event lasted about an hour or so, and after the signing session Min Ho posed for some photos. After all that activity, the fans didn't let Min Ho leave empty handed. They presented him with a box filled with Gu Jun-pyo stickers.

It's vacation time after the meet-the-fans session. Min Ho stayed at a hotel in Haeundae (an affluent beach front community in eastern Busan). Haeundae Beach attracts tens of thousand tourists, to what many consider to be Korea's best beach. This is where Min Ho spent a lazy afternoon on a yacht, soaking in the sun and watching waves go by on the sparkling blue sea. What a perfect way to spend a lovely spring day!

‘SS501’s Music High’ Starts on 14-Apr.

Group SS501’s magnae Kim HyungJoon has been selected as a radio DJ.

Kim HyungJoon has been chosen as a sole DJ for SBS Power FM (107.7Mhz) following their Spring reorganization. Though Kim HyungJoon has done ad-hoc DJ in various radio programs before, this would be his first time being selected as a sole DJ (meaning, hosting the program by himself).

SS501’s company explained “The program title is named as SS501, however the program will be hosted by Kim HyungJoon alone. Kim HyungJoon also felt a sense of responsibility due to the usage of his own group name.”

SS501’s Heo YoungSaeng and Park JungMin had been DJ for SBS Power FM in 2006. They had received full support from teenager listeners. Kim HyungJoon will host the 1-hour program from 2am to 3am and would appeal to young listeners.

SS501 member Kim HyungJoon, Kim KyuJong, Park JungMin, Heo YoungSaeng made a friendship appearance for a CF which leader Kim HyunJoong appeared in. This CF is an advertisement which Kim HyunJoong is appointed as the main model of, and SS501 members also participated in the filming of this CF on 08-Apr.

Kim HyunJoong met with about 100 fans in a fan sign session held on 07-Apr, 1pm, at Lotte Hotel located in SoGong-dong, Jonggu, Seoul.

Kim HyunJoong who successfully stepped into acting through popular drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, intends to concentrate on his singer activities for the time being.

Kim HyunJoong’s company representative said on 01-Apr after ‘Boys Over Flowers’ ended “Kim HyunJoong is craving to return to stage. Thus he will be going for activities as a singer rather than an actor for the time being.”

Cheerful Caretaker screens in Busan

We know that aside from acting, Boys Before Flowers star Gu Hye-sun can sing, likes to draw, has published a novel, and has directed her own short film. That film, titled The Cheerful Caretaker [유쾌한 도우미], will be getting a film festival screening.

The short film has now been accepted into the fiction category of the Busan Asian Short Film Festival (BASFF), which runs from May 13 through 17. Competing in the festival are a total of 90 entries from 20 countries.

Gu Hye-sun filmed this short, her directorial debut, last year, as well as writing its script and the theme song. The short spans 14 minutes and stars actors Kim Myung-soo and Ha Ji-won’s younger brother, Jeon Tae-soo; its title “Cheerful Caretaker” alludes to the euthanasia-themed story. The short had been accepted into last year’s Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) in the “Wide Angle” category, but was eliminated in a preliminary round.

"Boys over Flowers" Draws Its Curtain

A party was held on Wednesday to mark the show's ending.

The KBS2 mega hit drama “Boys over Flowers” ended its three-month run on Tuesday. To celebrate its success, the drama team held a party at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul on Wednesday.

Lee Min-ho, who played one of the protagonists, Gu Jun-pyo, said, “We had spent most of our time together while shooting it for five months, so we got really close and got to share lots of good memories. I will not be able to forget it because I enjoyed huge popularity, more than I deserved. I am really happy.”

Ku Hye-sun, who played the female leading role of Geum Jan-di, said, “I was happy to appear in the drama. It was hard to work under a tight schedule as the shooting usually continued into the night, almost every night, but it was a great experience.”

Kim Hyun-joong, who played another protagonist, Yoon Ji-whoo, said, “This was the first work I took part in after turning actor from singer, and I am so happy that it succeeded. I will always try to give my best whatever I do.” He watched the last episode with his fans.

Goo Hye Sun, in particular, went through a lot throughout the filming of this drama. She had the most scenes to film, and on top of that, received a head injury and got into a car accident. To her, the most difficult scenes to film were the ones where Jandi gets bullied by the students. After getting a red card from the F4, Goo Hye Sun had to get hit by eggs and have flour dumped on her. “There was a scene where I get hit with tomatoes outside. The weather was so cold that the tomatoes froze as soon as they hit me, and I got frostbite. Also, I was always cold filming with those short skirts that were part of the uniform.”

A common way to describe them is, “stars who have awaken from a deep sleep.” Although they may have experienced obstacles and hardship during their newcomer days, but they become top stars after one drama project.

Every cycle of 3-5 years, a drama star will emerge and leave the nation’s viewers in awe. From Cha In Pyo in 1994’s ‘Love In Your Embrace’, Ahn Jae Wook in 1997’s ‘Star In My Heart’, Won Bin in 2000’s ‘Autumn In My Heart’ to Eric in 2004’s ‘Phoenix’ and Lee Minho in this year’s ‘Boys Before Flowers’ - they are the best examples. Although Lee Eun Joo in ‘Phoenix’ started off as a rich girl, she ended up poor after a sudden incident. All of their characters tend to be naive and cheerful.

To summarize, all of the male protagonists are like Terrius from ‘Candy Candy’ or Edward (Richard Gere) from the movie ‘Pretty Woman’. Drama critic Lee Mun Won said, “In Korean drama that targets the sensitivity of teenage girls, Terrius is the type of character that transcends time.”

A Shift from The Outsider to The Realist

Change comes with the passing of time. Stars like these have to be good at mushy confessions or gestures of love. Cha In Pyo has been the best in this area, overwhelming Korean viewers for playing the saxophone and waving his index finger from side to side. viewers happy with BOF ending *SPOILER*

KBS 2TV drama Boys Over Flowers has come to an end on 31st March, 3 months after its airing rfrom 5th January.

With much debate over how the drama will come to an ending, viewers are satisfied that the drama ended with a happy ending, attracting a record high of 33.7% viewership during its last episode.

On the 24th episode aired on 30th March with appearance of YooMi who interferred into the Goo-Geum relationship has got viewers worried about the couple’s fate in the drama.

JanDi had, with the help of the F4 members, tried to get Goo Joon Pyo regain his lost memories but to no valid. And JaeKyung who has also been looking after JoonPyo all this while had only became more anxious.

With its ending episode, viewers questioned, “Don’t tell me that the high fantasy romance will just end with a sad ending?”

But viewers are glad that the drama has done some justice to the original version of the story which portrayed the ‘cheerfulness’ of pure young love depicted.

The drama ended with Goo Joon Pyo finding back his memory successfully. And JanDi made it into a medical college, proving to be a strong ‘weed’, together with Yoon Ji Hoo; So Yi Jung and Sung WooBin also had their own happy ending. This can be said to be a ‘happy ending all the way’.

And the happy ending also brought the viewers to the propose from Joon Pyo to JanDi, leaving the sweetest moments for viewers who has been quite irritated by the love-and-then-leave-again relationship.

Also a special episode of the drama will also be aired 1 week from the last 25th episode.

In the course of the 3 months airing, the cast has each individually gotten into accidents starting from Kim Hyun Joong’s car accident on 21st January to Goo Hye Sun’s car accident on 27th February. Also the unfateful news of Jang Ja Yeon’s suicide, which until has been a heatedly debated topic, will also be featured in the special episode.

Kim Hyung Joong's "GOODBYE YOON JI HOO" fan meeting

Kim Hyun Joong of KBS 2TV drama Boys Over Flowers held a ‘Goodbye JiHoo’ fanmeeting on 31st March in Seoul Olympics stadium which saw a total of 5,500 fans present at the fanmeeting.

Co-actors Kim Bum and Kim Joon was also present to give support.

SS501 Kim Hyun Joong plays Yoon Ji Hoo in the drama as part of F4 and whom has captivated many fans and his love for Geum JanDi (played by Goo Hye Sun) in the show. They also gathered to watch the last episode of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ to be aired at 9.55pm.

Kim Hyun Joong had a fun session with the fans as well as performing and singing for the fans - he sang ‘Because I am stupid’ during the fanmeeting too.

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong will head to the hospital for treatment and recuperation after his CF and all other activities end on 2nd April.

BOF success within all its weakness

SEOUL, March 31 (Yonhap) -- Some loved it, some despised it. But no one will deny KBS TV drama "Boys over Flowers" became an unprecedented phenomenon in South Korea's television industry.

Since its first episode aired on Jan. 5, the series found itself at the center of a storm of rumors and controversy: one of its actresses committed suicide, all four main actors were injured in car accidents while rushing through a tight schedule and the show received several warnings from the media watchdog for excessive product placement and vulgar depiction of teenagers. To top it off, the series was repeatedly and harshly criticized for its "unrealistic and silly" plot.

But fans stuck with the 25-part series, which recorded an average 30 percent viewer rating at home and was sold to 11 Asian countries including Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines.

"We could do better if we were to make the drama all over again," said Bae Jong-byung, the drama's planning director, in a recent interview. "But we are quite satisfied with what we achieved the first time. We managed to create a brand new type of drama."

"Boys…" is based on a 37-volume Japanese "manga" series which was serialized in a bi-weekly magazine there from 1992 through 2003. Receiving a top manga award in 1996, the hit comic series has already been adapted into TV dramas in Japan and Taiwan.

The story centers on a working-class girl and four scions of wealthy families who call themselves the "Flower Four (F4)." While struggling to survive in an elite school of rich students, the young girl finds herself falling in love with the group's curly haired leader, who undergoes a transformation sparked by the relationship.

Despite a weak plot and flawed story line, fans say the Korean version still presented the "greatest eye pleasure" among the three adaptations thanks mostly to the show's four main actors.

"I loved the comic books back in middle school and was delighted that the TV characters matched my imagination perfectly," said 27-year-old office worker Lee Ja-young. "Despite all its shortcomings, the Korean version has the best looking actors and I was happy just at the sight of them."

Including Lee Min-ho, who starred as the F4 leader, the four actors were relatively new faces before becoming major stars within a few weeks of the drama's first episode.

"Our main focus was to cast the most handsome, cutest and freshest F4, and keep them that way throughout the show," said director Bae. "Everything else came after that."

Fans idolized members of the F4 like pop groups on stage and appeared ready to forgive their awkward acting and the show's weak plot that went from strange to stranger as the series wore on.

"The drama could never have earned so much popularity if F4 had been any less attractive," said Nam Sung-eh, 30. "Women want to look at pretty actors and fantasize about them: just as men do about actresses."

The show's popularity also managed to attract fans from across generations, with mothers and daughters able to share in the joy of seeing their favorite F4 member on screen.

"They were adorable," says Lim Mi-young, whose daughter attends middle school. "It felt strange but pleasant to watch the series with my daughter and discuss who was the cutest among the four."

The show's portrayal of high school students has been another source of controversy. Manipulative youngsters who use compromising photos taken in hotel beds to blackmail one another or drive cars and go clubbing, with classes unattended for days during extended holidays to exotic islands is not reflective of the typical South Korean teen, critics say.

There were also a number of unexplained plot twists between episodes, with characters appearing and disappearing seemingly at random.

Fans of the show dismiss the criticisms and defend the show's tendency to depart from the reality of everyday life. "Fiction is, after all" they say, "fiction."

"I hated it," one blogger posted on a local Web portal. "It seems to me that producers of this drama have no idea how to create a plausible plot and characters. I was disgusted looking at teenagers making out in the middle of the day, driving cars and drinking."

"Who says drama has to be realistic?" refuted another. "I actually loved the drama so much more for its silliness. It helped me escape from the reality and forget my problems for a while. The last thing I want is a head-scratcher of a drama."

The weak story was largely a product of the drama's tight shooting schedule, producers said.

"With the actors and actresses becoming so popular and busy, we had a hard time mapping out schedules that work for everyone," the drama's main producer Jun Ki-sang said. "While the plot might not have been dense enough, we did our best to create visually impressive scenes. Being a fantasy, I think audiences were ready to overlook some of the logical flaws as long as they liked what they were seeing."

As the drama's popularity surged, everything F4 members ate, held and wore became hot items. Sales of the main character Jun-pyo's (Lee Min-ho) favorite snack doubled while his curly top has now become the latest fashion trend.

Companies poured in money to secure placements for their products in the series, while members of the F4 became the "most wanted" among advertising models.

"My teenage sister demanded that my parents buy her a mobile phone the F4 carry around in the series although she already has a decent phone," said college student Lee Yun-ha. " I would have probably done the same if I had liked the show half as much as she did, seeing as it was virtually everywhere in the show."

With critics slamming the drama's producers as "gold diggers," the Korea Communications Standards Commission issued a warning against the show for its excessive product placement, or PPL, a widely-known advertisement method among local television producers.

The show's producers shot back.

"At first, we had a hard time finding firms and broadcasters willing to fund the production costs, especially because the show lacked big name actors," director Bae said. "With each episode costing nearly 300 million won (US$220,000) to make, we had no other means but to rely on advertising fees."

"With the Japanese and Taiwanese versions already a hit throughout Asia, we needed more money to create flashier and more sensational scenes," he added. "This was why we did overseas filming despite the tight budget and schedule."

Despite its obvious frailty, "Boys…" proved big name actors, playwrights and directors are no longer essential in creating a hit series, signaling new hope for a local TV industry struggling with tightening budgets and a limited number of stars.

But thorough preparation will be essential for the second and third generation of such dramas, experts say.

"I regret the fact we did not have more time to spend on the scenario and the overall story," producer Jun said. "Everything was new to us as it was to viewers and we panicked. We hope we can manage to create something of a better quality next time."

Dubbing the drama "an unexpected jackpot," media critic Kang Myung-suk said producers should learn to be more patient in creating high-quality products.

"'Boys...' could pull it off because it was the first of its kind, but viewers may not be so easily fooled next time," he said. "Instead of focusing on short-term profits, producers should really think about spending more time, money and effort in creating something better."

All eyes are on the model-turned-actor as he takes on a role that's sure to propel him to stardom.

At a red carpet for a local awards show, 22-year-old actor Lee Min-ho tripped and almost fell flat on his face.

Lee, however, is no falling star. In fact, he is Korea's biggest name to come out of the entertainment scene this year following his appearance as the male lead in Boys Over Flowers.

The Korean drama is the newest version of the popular Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango to hit the television screens. The drama has helped launch careers of Asian stars, especially those acting the male lead, a role that was previously played by Taiwan's Jerry Yan (Meteor Garden) and Japan's Jun Matsumoto (Hana Yori Dango). Yan went on to become one of the first pan-Asian idols while Matsumoto went on to do the movie version, which was a hit across the region.

Lee is a model-turned-actor like Yan and fans of the franchise have even pointed out his physical resemblance to the Taiwanese heartthrob.

This is Lee's biggest break so far and playing Goo Joon Pyo (Dao Ming Si in the Taiwan version and Domyoji Tsukasa in the Japanese version) has assured him that he won't be languishing in anonymity for long.

Lee debuted in 2005 in the drama Love Hymn, appearing as a minor character. His first lead role came in 2007 in Mackerel Run, an 8-part high-school drama.

Playing the rich spoiled brat in Boys Over Flowers could be anyone's trump card, a surefire way to stardom and Lee is sowing the fruits of that now, with many endorsements including Levi's, LG Telecom, Samsung Anycall, Trugen, Market O, Cadillac CTS, Samsung, Cass beer and Dunkin' Donuts.

Aside from acting, Lee has also received an offer to do a digital single as part of an advertisement for Cass beer. This more or less resembles the career path that the Taiwanese cast took, leading them to form a boy group named F4 after the same name in the drama.

In a recent interview, Lee displayed a tenacity that he would need once he becomes more famous. "Victory is not as important as possessing a fighting spirit. My motto is to not give up even if I fail. I think to have that attitude is just beautiful."

hmm...i realised that he resembled Jerry Yan very much when i first saw him...but as i saw him more on the drama (and lots of his pictures in my laptop)...i know he has his own charm..he is tall,young and charming...do u agree with me?

It was already known that the ending scene of the two(Jandi and Junpyo) was shot in New Caledonia in December. Could it be that the ending was reshot because the picture was leaked on the internet? The answer is no.

In the finale scene that was shot in New Caledonia, Junypo and Jandi were supposed to be looking for a ring in the water. They planned end the series with a scene where they look for the ring that he was supposed to propose to Jandi with.

The reason why this scene was cut is unique: it was because of the ring itself. The cast and crew thought they had done well with the scene where Jandi and Junpyo dig through the soil underwater looking for the ring, but they had made a mistake. They were supposed to be looking for a lost ring, but that ring was on Lee Min Ho's finger while he was looking for it.

The team only realized their mistake after they came back to korea, and eventually decided to redo the scene. Though the new scene still had a proposal and happy ending, it lost that beautiful New Caledonia scenery.

'Boys Over Flowers' launched the careers of many fresh faces, including F4's Lee Minho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon, Goo Hye Sun, Kim So Eun, and Lee Min Jung. The series left an overwhelming impact on the pop culture and continues to make headline news even after the last episode aired. The past few months have been recognized as 'The Golden Era of BOF'.

Initially, 'Boys Over Flowers' planned to end with episode 24. Goo Hye Sun's car accident on Feb 27th resulted to scheduling conflicts, making it extremely difficult to shoot the entire series in the given time. The actress, who received stitches inside her mouth, was instructed to stay hospitalized for a couple of days; hence, filming was pushed back. KBS extended the series to episode 25 and filled the vacant time with a 'Boys Over Flowers' Special. On the 30th, producers expressed their opinions through the homepage: "The time that was given to us with the one extended episode was very awkward. We felt it was both overly done and not enough at the same time. Although we were accused of adding unnecessary kiss and flashback scenes, we had an obligation to wrap up the story in the given time."

6000: The price of Goo Joon Pyo's most expensive outfit.

Since 'Boys Over Flowers' tells the story of four extremely wealthy characters, the outfits worn by these actors needed to level up with their social statuses. F4 stylist, Jung Hye Jin, commented, "We dressed the F4 members like European princes. The most expensive outfit was worth $6000. The fur jacket was worn by Goo Joon Pyo when he officially announced Geum Jandi as his girlfriend to the Shinhwa High students (episode 5)." Group Eight's Song Byun Joon representative also stated, "The F4 members never wore the same outfit twice. Some might look similiar to others, but they are not. 3000: Number of fans that gathered on outdoor sets.

'Boys Over Flowers' became well known for the number fans it gathered. Dae Goo's Kae Myung University, which set the background for some of the school scenes, attracted over 3000 fans. A representative stated, "We were shocked by the number of fans that visited the set. After that, we weren't able to shoot at Kae Myung University for over a month."

During other wild fan encounters, officials were called to help main control and safety. When 2000 fans gathered for one of the outside shoots, 100 police officers were called in. The location of Geum Jandi and Choo Gaeul's part time job was also crowded with about 200-300 fans daily. Even with it's popularity, 'Boys Over Flowers' experienced the same amount of heartache and suffering.

the article misses 1 cameo...SS501 appeared on ep 4...so the number should be 12....well...i can't believe boys over flowers has really ended now...the drama brightened my day over the past 2 months...i saw the drama on february...i will miss all of them so much...when i saw the last episode...many feelings going through my heart...i felt sad and happy at the same time...i know the drama should end quickly before it turns into a mess (well the story became little bit ridiculous in some episodes but really...the drama is a worth watching) plus...when the drama end...it means 5 member of SS501 will be reunited again...well..after all....LOVE the drama...love the casts...and LOve the SOundtrack...

Park Jungmin, a member of a famous group SS501, was very estatic when he passed his driver's license test in four years.

According to a source close to Park Jungmin himself said "Recently Park Jungmin passed type one regular driver's license. Amongst the members he was the first one to try, since it seemed like he wanted to drive so badly. However whenever he had to take his test, the time overlapped with his other schedules. So it took him four years to actually pass the test.

The same person also mentioned that Jungmin passed the test with a perfect score of 100. Jungmin is very happy that he was able to get his license in four years, with a perfect score.

Park Jungmin started to meet with his fans not as a singer, but as a musical actor as
SS501 started their unit activities. Park Jungmin was casted as a lead rold of Danny in the musical 'Grease.' He started the musical in early march, and successfully finished the Encore shows as well.

Also during KHJ's fan meeting 'Goodbye Yoon Ji Hoo' which was held in Olympic Hall at Olympic Park, Park Jungmin stood on a stage with the rest of SS501 members as a singer after a long hiatus.
